The fun has begun!

Or I should say the healing!

My right foot has been bothering me so I made an appointment with a podiatrist in August. The first thing she said was “It’s crazy you’ve had this for so long!”

I hadn’t really noticed it, compared to the degenerative left hip, and it’s not really a painful thing. It’s was more like walking on a child’s bouncy ball, so it was more annoying. However, I can’t get my foot in normal shoes so with winter, that could be problematic. ❄️

And I wasn’t to walk very far, so no lovely fall hikes for me 😭🍁

Seems that the bunion and bursa was aggregated by my slightly off gait from the left hip , so I’m very thankful I can still walk. I’m thankful that I live in a time and a place where little things like toes can be fixed.

They have broken the toe for me and given me a screw and a wire to hold it all in place. My toe now accessorizes, I’m so fancy!
