Look at these hands.
As I talked to my dads cousin, Lorraine, this was a year ago today. We talked about our lives and the common grief of burying a child…it was natural that we reached for each other in mutual understanding. It struck me as I looked at our hands- the only separation I could see were a few age spots. Her eyes shined as she spoke of her child, her faith, the wisdom and the joy that connects us. Her sweet hubby listened to us talked, adding in his joy of faith and family.
It’s easy to overlook the opportunity to connect because of something as silly as age, when really, our hearts are all the same. I invite you to find connection with someone not your age and see how much you have in common. ❤️
